Thumbs up Money Transfer To India

    Hi Friends,

I am an Indian working in HK.

I have to sent money from HK to India on regular basis.

I used to transfer money by Western Union which deducting 5 paisa as a commission and need to go their office.

Recently, I have found a TNG app to transfer the money without any commission but not sure about it's safety.

Can you please share your advice the best possible SAFE way to transfer money with getting the HIGHEST rates?

    Thanks in advance

@chuckster007, not sure if hundi/hawala rates are cost/time effective for regular small transfers assuming he is sending monthly/bi-monthly for family maintenance etc..

Try City Forex. Or InstaREM. They've recently dropped charges to 0.25%. Works out to a 2 paisa spread for them. Perhaps, the most competitive I've seen in HKG.

You guys might want to look at World Remit one of our clients. Would be good to know if they're suitable for India FX transfers.

    Hi, Thanks for suggestion.

I have downloaded this app but didn't found a way to top up money into wallet like in TNG app I can top up through 7-11 store etc and then transfer money to India.
How to top up money in this?

WorldRemit: They accept card payments and allow you to transfer via Apple/Android Pay on our mobile app!

Not sure what the fine print (i.e. CC charges), if you're looking for easy topups.

Looking at all the juggling that these apps need - isnt it easier to setup payments through ICICI or another bank from here to an account in your home town?
