    2018: Realistic food spending query

Many years ago I used to do

    Cereal at breakfast: HKD5
Lunch at Harbour City Foodcourt: HKD50
Friend Rice at local place: HKD16
Shots at Carnegies on Tuesdays: free

    Total: HKD71 * 30 = HKD 2,130

    Mod edit: moved from https://geoexpat.com/forum/40/thread29050-8.html

Yeah but you need to add all the extras here and there (you never ever ate a piece of chocolate? you never ever had a beer? you ate every single day for years the same cereal, you never ever had an other meal that food court?More realistic to say HKD2500 or thereabout.

Do you remember which year exactly? What's your spending for 2018?

If you work or live near a cooked food market, you can still get a decent lunch for under HK$50, even in 2018.

Honestly I didn't spend much more back then. I even remember the debate about the price of taking the MTR or the bus 2a from quarry Bay to Central (I think one was hkd2.30 and the other hkd4)

That was in 2000 for about 5 months.

Now I spend closer to 15k per month...
