Working desk for a day or two?

Have a friend who is visiting and he is looking for a quiet area to work - emails and random work for 4-8 hours a day for a couple of days.

Not keen on the shared workspace bench type area and would like his own desk with some privacy.

Suggested trying the central library but want to double check as I don't have time to go check it out before he arrives.

    - does the central library have desks that offer some privacy? Photos suggest they do.
    - any other suggestions for cheap rentals? Say $200 a day?

He may be able to get access to the FCC.. Do they still have work areas which are available?

This place is in my building, super quiet- they have separate desk areas with some privacy and also meeting rooms- it usually is pretty dead (we went down to visit them to see about rental of the whole space). Very new and clean.

Central Library - Getting a single desk is not easy - you'll usually have to share (if you can get a space at all)

Library Student Study Rooms - Free, but small and drab spaces. Watch out for odd opening hours - https://www.hkpl.gov.hk/en/locations...hours.html#ssr

Desk-one seemed to look good, but generally only opens at 11am - https://www.desk-one.hk/space-and-service

Thanks for this lead. They have a facility near the Admiralty MTR station called "glue" with a weekly / monthly "quiet desk" rental.
