    Christmas Day; what's open?

    Hi.
    I have family visiting for a few days only in December.
    To do all the things we want to, we'll have to do some on Christmas Day.
    So, from people with more experience than me being in HK over Christmas; can I have opinions, please?
    What's open of the following on Christmas Day?;
    Stanley markets
    Flower market
    Temple St night market (or Christmas eve?)
    Tai-O and Ngong Ping 360 cable car

    (and Public transport is following the Public Holidays schedule?)

    Thanks.

    Christmas is kind of a non-holiday here. It's just a day off work for the locals, but business as usual. It's only Chinese New Year were you may encounter some things closed or not operating.

    Follow the government public holiday schedules, including for ferries.

    Christmas Day is just another public holiday here so everything will be open.

    I actually avoid HK at Christmas for this very reason. Having everything open spoils it for me.

    In fact, MTR will operate over-night on Christmas and new year eves. Some shops and restaurants will operate longer hours.
