Are you sure? vcd usually has 2 audio selections, 1 in putunghua, 1 in mandarin.

The soaps don't, they dubb it in mandarin to give to the mainlanders, makes the whole soap way more boring

Not a case of left right audio?
I personaly get really annoyed when they do that.. but i guess for vcd and svcd its the only option if you want dual language.
