That was fast-moving! It seems to have gone now.

And another storm is following in its wake. The HKO has even issued a new warning:

"A band of intense thundery showers over the western part of the Pearl River Estuary is moving towards the coastal areas. It is expected to affect Hong Kong in the next couple of hours. Members of the public should be on the alert. (10-05-2020 18:30)"

Watching some lightning flashing now in the eastern night sky. I always am fascinated by the light show.

Happy now? We had it all last night- high winds, thunder, lightning, downpours, termites. Proper weather.

Good to know. I saw a dozen of these flying things last week in my house. Don't even know how they got inside. Attracted to lights? Anyway, they are rather slow and easy to smash with your hands.

The termites were flying before the rain yesterday. The humidity is a signal for them to emerge. We just had clouds of the small ones last night. They are attracted to lights so switch off outside ones and pull the curtains to try and reduce the number coming in.

Love proper rain, cools things down nicely.
