Cleaning out under the kitchen sink I see these things around the wall and underside of the work surface. I guess they’re pods or eggs of some insect?
does anybody recognise them?

They are so hungry they are eating the mildew on the grout lines. Clean your kitchen up for them to have a chance at going away.
No I don't think so. This should be them, plaster bagworms (larvae of moths): https://greenpestservicesfl.com/how-...ster-bagworms/Original Post Deleted
They are harmless but annoying. I used to have them in an old flat and they were so hard to get rid of. Tons appearing all the time. Later on the ceiling had some issue from the humidity so probably to do with that. Try running a dehumidifier all day and see if it helps. Also make sure there's no leaks in doors/windows etc and do a thorough clean.
Thanks for the feedback guys, very much appreciated!
