Question Import duties when receiving overseas liquor in HK

I’ve recently found pretty decent deals on a few bottles of whisky online, and I want to ship it back to HK. I know that HK has a 100% import duty on liquor above 30% ALC, but I was wondering if anyone has experience as to how strict/enforceable this is in practice? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I can say that a few years back I bought a bottle of something non-alcoholic from Amazon, and it was held by customs when it arrived in Hong Kong until I'd made a declaration that it wasn't dutiable...

Seems crazy to me coz booze is so cheap in HK. That white Chinese firewater, 52%, can be had for HK$20 per liter.
But maybe you like that 'wildcat crap' coffee too.
