I keep seeing one or two reports every day in the local media. Today's case does not involve bamboos...
@Tom007 - speculating this is related to Italy v/s Spain...

When a 50-year-old man in Sham Shui Po was driving off No. 81-95 Nan Cheong Street at 5:52 in the morning, a motorhome suddenly drove up and two swordmen got out of the car and slashed towards the victim. His feet were bleeding and his knees were chopped to see Bone, the swordsman fled without a trace, a pool of blood stains were left on the road, and two 10 yuan notes were left by the pedestrian road.

Standard triad attack. The victim is probably a rival gang member who did something to offend the attackers, like a battle over turf (the victim was collecting protection money from the attacker's exclusive territory), maybe revenge for an earlier attack lead by the victim, tussle over girls, etc. You know, the usual.

Was trying to figure out if this belonged in the crime-news or the good-news-hk-is-limping-back-to-normal department...

Auyeung Tak, chief inspector of New Territories North police regional anti triad unit, said three men asked the operator to pay a monthly protection fee of HK$20,000 on November 8.
