    New Years Eve Transport

    Hi guys,

This will be our first new years eve in Hong Kong.. Just wondering if anyone can shed light on what transport is like. Are there extra buses? Does the MTR run later? We live in DB and just figuring out if getting too/from the city is feasible during such a busy time. Can't seem to find much info on extra services on the transport or DB ferry websites.

    Thanks!

    Lali

On New Years Eve, MTR is 24 Hours no closing time.. more bus, more mini-bus... more everything but also alot alot of blocked off roads for people to walk on the road...

    Thanks Judy!

Good to hear. Last time I looked on the MTR and TD websites there wasn't a lot of info...

    Cheers,

Usually DBTL run a few additional ferries at night at Christmas Eve and New Years Eve. Given the circumstances at the moment - not sure it is likely this year. Watch out for announcements/leavelets at the ferry pier.
As it was stated before the MTR runs 24 hours. If you are not into crowds you should avoid the waterfront area in TST - crowd control will be on in LKF as well.
