Mens barbershop specializing in longer hair

I'm a military veteran that always had very short haircuts from barbershops, but I'm at the phase of life where I want to experiment with longer hair.

I'm currently getting to that awkward length, so I'm trying to trim the sides a bit while the top part of my hair grows.

I was wondering if anyone in this forum knows a barbershop that specializes in that area?

Assuming you're not going with the mercenary DIY clipper approach, I'd highly recommend Roger at Selvege barbers for scissor cuts and longer styles. That place is bloody expensive ($450) but I'm always happy with the result.

A digression, but I looked at their website and was taken aback to see them offering an "Asian Afro Perm" starting at HKD2,860!

Woah, just as I was about to post this, I clicked on their booking button out of curiosity, and they also have something that translates as a Full Head Reggae Braid for HKD9,500! Jesus, where's the heart attack icon...
