    It was referring to the common practice of commercial landlords (especially in F&B) jacking up rent regardless of market conditions as soon as they find out the tenant is successful. The tenant is then left with a difficult decision of relocating and possibly losing customers or allow their scumbag landlord to cream off their success without having put in any effort or taken any of the risk.

    It was really difficult to get it, but thanks to your excellent explanations I think I got it now. I believe he means "a two-dishes-one-rice lunchbox preparer" is currently have a very good economy, catering for lockdowns and people in quarantine. Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks

    This isn't quite fair to *all* landlords ...

    The good ones read the business plan before leasing their premises!
