speaking to a person at the Transport Department

does anyone know how to speak to a real person at the Transport Department?

their regular line is an endless cycle of phone menus, 1823 always says they are busy and cut you off

Find the department or activity you are looking for...

Not sure if you found this page.

From the Lantau permit FAQ it seems like this is the office you are looking for.

I collected my Lantau permit from this office listed above, so if you do not have any luck on the phone, pop into the office and talk to a human, mask to mask.
