    Power of Attorney (notarised)

I need to collect a document for a family member. To do this, I need "to provide the original POA duly notarized".

    My question.

Do I need to go through a lawyer to get the Power of Attorney (notarised)?

You need to go through a notary to get the PoA notarised. Many lawyers are notaries but not all lawyers are notaries.

And they charge around $1,500-$2,500 per document from experience.

Do you already have the Power of Attorney? The place you are collecting the document from should have a format that your family member will need to complete and sign
