I guess we are only hearing one side of this story. On the face of it, the Cathy cabin crew members were a bit naive to make fun of passengers. On the other hand, while seemingly glamorous, being cabin crew would not be a job that I'd want to do.

If this is the standard, I'd get fired from all my jobs. Geezus, I can't imagine what shit American flight attendants say all the time.

But it's really shit for the flight attendants, because they have to work so hard to get to that place, then wait to try to work up and even then the pay is shit. This is likely utterly devastating for these flight attendants and all they were doing was just joking around like we all do...

The buggering of the Swire and Quatar owned airline continues.. thank God it was not an HSBC ATM that offended our countrymen.

It reminds me of a flight to Eastern Europe.
Fellow passengers thought I am just a Chinese dude and probably don’t understand what he says in his language.
I reported it to the cabin crew, doors open again, station manager walks in, guy had to leave the airplane.
I guess it’s all about avoiding unwanted disruption.

Why is the Chief Administrator getting involved in this minor incident. I would suggest such a work place incident being blown up into a political incident by the highest level of government does more harm to the cities reputation of good governance than the incident itself. Frontline staff are rude to customers of all ilk all the time.

    Meanwhile

Cathay Pacific Airways Flight Attendants Union said "We notice there is an online appeal for passengers to provoke and record the behaviour of crew members. This action seriously disturbs crew members' work. Crew members are currently under huge pressure and extreme fear"

I'm surprised no one has yet suggested it be referred to the police as a possible NSL violation. 1.4 billion hurt feelings and all that.
