Sharks overfishing? Yes, not good, it is heartening to hear the message that shark fin causing micro-penis is getting across though.
HK waters and fish populations are actually in a much improved state since the trawling ban. I do not think sharks are particularly unusual in HK waters but we are near the Pearl river so the water salinity my not be attractive to large oceanic species. Increasing fish populations may change that. There was a huge whale (Bryde's?) a couple of years ago feeding near Sai Kung.
