Hello, yes, I saw your thread earlier. So, in my experience in applying for visas here (dependents, FDH), if you submit the application in person at immigration, you can request them to send the correspondence through email with valid reason. I have done this a few years ago (pre-Covid), because I was out of town during the visa processing time. I am not sure if this always works, or it depends on the person you get at the counter. Your other option is to list a different correspondence address in the application form (maybe your workplace address? don't know if that would be acceptable).
