if you dont fix it immediately likely you will responsible for water damage in the flat below, therefore as I said get it fixed immediately.
I am not waiting for someone to pay me first. I’m seeking guidance on how to approach this incident And whether There are any consumer protection laws against something like this. Whether it’s 2000 or 700, I did not cause the damage. And I guess we both know that the installation and disposal of the toilet would not be cheap either.

I am no longer using the toilet and I have closed off the water supply to the toilet which stops the leakage. I am not waiting more than a single day to take action and fix this problem ( tomorrow, Monday). But my intention is to make the appliance company, Who were responsible for the delivery(and the damage), take responsibility and give me their word.

now some might say that ain’t ever gonna happen, but my question is directed towards those people who disagree and know of an approach for this situation.

Did you raise the complaint with the delivery people at the time, and did you get a response back at all? If you had put something in writing e.g. on the delivery note then you might have a chance of getting a big retailer e.g. Fortress to take some responsibility and reimburse the costs of repair. If this is all coming in as an after the fact complaint a few days later then I suspect the delivery guys will just (be told to) deny all knowledge and you won't get anywhere.

In any case the LL is a greedy git so at a minimum share the receipts for the washing machine with him in writing and advise that you expect this to be covered. At the end of your lease withhold that amount from your final rental payment, plus totally withhold the last two months of rent (I.e. your deposit) before you eventually move on. Nothing he can do.

Typical greedy selfish cheap landlord! Good luck ever getting your security deposit from this guy! Feels like the type who will just keep your money. No matter what. They mostly do that anyway. Hate landlords. Always stealing your money. Cheap. May Karma really hit them all hard!
