    Alipay not working on trams

I've been trying a good few times to pay via Alilpay transport but every attempt has been a failure. Has anyone ever experienced recently?

I know nothing about Alipay because I use a JoyYou card, but I assume you mean the Alipay "Transit QR Code"?

Usually you use EasyGo, but similar idea. Although I don't see why someone from HK would use Alipay since it's easier to use Octopus or a Credit card

most of the machines on buses/trams are not really serviced.. so they break down often and nobody cares (to report) ...
if there are so many machines floating around breaking down is expected and the bus drivers are not expected to report such things...

Except Octopus of course - that just works. But there are some people who have the desire to use their phones for everything, making life unnecessarily complicated for no benefit.
