Fixing a gas stove - any recommendations?

Hi guys
I've had an issue with my gas stove - it seems it doesn't light up. I'm guessing it could be that it's blocked because it doesn't seem like the gas is coming out. I've googled and it could be as simple as the valve being clogged up with dirt but I've called the OEM manufacturer and it's 700 call-out fee without even the fee for fixing it.
Then I've found a local one but that's 500 call out.

Is there a reliable gas man that anyone can recommend?

Particularly if talking in English I doubt you'll get a technician with a callout fee much below $500.
