Hong Kong Palace Museum Advance Booking for Weekends?

Hi. I have a quick question. How full does the Hong Kong Palace museum and its exhibits get on the weekend? I went once and I was able to buy tickets at the door on the weekend. However, I am not a frequent goer to the museum and I am wondering if it ever fills up, because I have a friend coming to Hong Kong and I am wondering if the Hong Kong Palace Museum or its exhibits ever gets that busy, that it fills up. If you plan to go, why not just buy the tickets in advance rather than taking the chance?

When I went there was a special exhibit that was sold out but general tickets were still available.
