    How Much To Tips Movers?

Finally found an apartment that will fit all my possessions from the US! Now I just need to have everything delivered from Crown. I've read several threads here on tipping waiters, hairdressers, etc., but haven't found a plethora of info on tipping movers. Does anyone have any advice/guidance on how much to tip movers? My place is on the 10th floor and the building has an elevator, but it is very small. I tipped the guys on the US side of the move about $80 per man for 2 days of packing and moving (small NYC 2 bedroom). Any guidance is greatly appreciated!

Assuming they are just moving your stuffs and will not unpack, anywhere between 20 and 100 HKD per guy is OK.

Good point on the unpacking. If the movers do unpack, does 200 HKD per man sound reasonable?

If you have a large place then yes, otherwise it sounds generous to me. I've tended to tip around HK$100/man (normally by giving $500 to the foreman in the presence of at least one of the others and making it clear that it's to share).

Sounds a bit high but assuming they really do unpack everything and you have a large place, why not.
