Most instant coffees taste better than Starsuck's usual fare anyway, perhaps this is a push to improve quality

My husband prefers instant coffee to real coffee and likes normal starbucks in the first place - I think he's going to be in heaven.

So what seems to be wrong with introducing "Instant" coffee. Maybe Starbucks is hurting during the financial hard times when people are shying away from spending $7 to $8 for a cup of coffee and want to come up with a cheaper version to bolster their sales. Seems like a clear cut business decision.

It's really not a big deal. They've been selling bottled coffee for a long time now, this is just a logical next step.
