shanghai vs hk

SH always seems dirtier to me . The locals I travel with (not SH residents) aren't fond of SH either.
Plus the city is really spread out. One thing about HK is that everything is pretty compact and easy to access.
And no, I haven't lived there but I travel there a few times/year.

Shanghai actually seems more international to me...
it also has quite alot of multi-cultural historical influence with the Jewish, the English, the French etc etc.

many locals working there are "yuppies" who try to copy western lifestyles.

HK locals seem to copy japanese styles more...

these views are just based on experience with people i work with. maybe local local shanghainese are different?
