    whats with all the.........?

whats with all the indians trying to get me to buy a shirt?

whats with all the indians trying to get me to buy a watch?

every block has like 5-6 of them spread out and i have to try to avoid every one of them....they are more annoying then the poor chinese minorities in northern china that would beg for money.....

note...i know some are indians, but i am using a generalization of indians because i dont know if they are pakistany, or afgani, or indian or what...no offense intended

on the other hand, i am looking for a cheap pair opf pants to be made, cause i am picky. i am not looking to pay more than say HKD 300.

are they safe? or are they gonna lure me in and mug me in some way shape or form?

    *sigh*

On the other side of the island we have to deal with whiteys trying to sell us some investment fund or offshore banking opportunity.

Not sure whats more annoying... atleast the Indians don't ask me if I'd be interested in an investment opportunity when I'm sitting down having a beer in my local.

Who gives a shit .. they're all brown anyways right? (Where in the US are you from?)

For once I am absolutely with KIA on this. It's relatively easy to avoid the suit-sellers; it is very hard to avoid the financial services sellers once you start giving your business card to people.

ive seen the chinese crowd the streets selling the properties and stuff, they do get annoying, but luckily i dont have to dress too nice for work, so they dont bother me as much

but since i need some trousers...is it safe to say yes to one of the indians?

All you have to do is say no. It is that easy. On a number of occasions I have been looking for an address in TST and found there is no-one more polite and helpful than these guys.

The folks that come up and say "You look lucky." worry me a bit though. Not sure what happens next as I haven't stopped walking when I've heard this.

How would you feel if you are on the phone with your mother who is worried sick about you, and some indian guy walks past you and asks if you want "hash-eesh"...

You sure know how to attract them.

On the other hand, how would you feel if you were returning from a hard days work and a Predator drone flys past you and drops a bomb... "Al Qaayedaa".

Goes both ways. Deal with it and move on.

Avoid these people. They talk to you abit, sort of fortune telling and then ask for money!

Even worse .. they spook you with bad karma if you don't give them money once you've engaged them in a conversation.
