Ruling out mould, there could be a number of other reasons, such as:
1. Seasonal weather changes,
2. using down quilts or pillows,
3. dust, or
4. even hayfever if you leave in NT.
As someone suggested, take some anti-histamine first and see if that helps.
Well, that sounds like the kind of positive, can-do attitude that's sure to sort out your problems. Seems to me that'd be the first thing to tackle, but if you're not prepared to try the obvious then that's fine too.
Seasonality- the only thing that varies on a season basis here is temperature and humidity. Both can be controlled easily via air conditioning and humidifiers/dehumidifiers.
Hong Kong doesn't seem to produce pollen on a markedly seasonal basis- I am highly suseptible to pollens, and have never had a reaction in HK. On the other hand, I have a terrible time in countries with lots of nature.
