    >> now you tell me about these a lab people! excellent looking site

I second the recommendation on A-Lab. Have been buying gear from them for the last 6 or so years.

Further to other replies on here, I have to say that Centralfield is the Mutts Nutts. The sales staff really don't seem to give a fuc* if you buy or not but the hardware and software is of the highest spec and built within a couple of hours.

Their on screen 'builders' are rather handy for those of us that like to play around with prices versus specs.

    My reccy. Good place

well yeah went looking for these centralfield folks last weekend but couldn't find them. that's the prob with HK's computer mart system as opposed to one-stop meccas like CompUSA/CDW. you run around the maze, ask identical questions, then stand by the side scratching your head. why can't we get big shops here? won't Fortress be able to sell PC parts?

Nah .. people like to spend 3 hours harrassing 23 shopkeepers to try and get a $2 discount.

yes, Fortress/Broadway/Best do have some annoying staff, but it's preferrable to those cramped spaces. i mean the golden place on a saturday afternoon is sheer madness. and how come they don't offer deepere discounts for all our trouble? like KIA said, you can haggle all you want for less than the price of a McD's yogurt.

and i think Centralfield only has a non-english version?
