Surprise party for my girlfriend's birthday

Is there a good place where i can celebrate my girlfriend bday.
I'm still deciding if i should make it big with our new friends or just the two of us. We have been going out for 4 and a half years already. And i want to make it special since we are both in hk studying.

A lot of choices is appreciated. With location, price range, environment, and if reservation is needed since her bday is coming up in sept 15.

I know i'm asking for a lot but can i also get a good florist and a bakery to make a birthday cake.

    thank you so much.

    kevin

    Hey Kevin,

There are some really good recommendations here

Do you have an idea of what sort of budget? Number of people involved?

At $200/person you have a lot of room.

I assume you want to arrange a sit down meal in a restaurant? Or order food home and get the friends there? or Skip the food and go to the booze? :>

Cova (Pacific Place and elsewhere) does some pretty incredible cake. 4 yrs and special? Why nt dinner for the two of you and meet friends for drinks after...if you do't make it, they'll know you picked the right place for dinner ;-)

Suggestions for dinner: as students, I'm thinking you may not want to spend your airfare home on one meal.. If I'm wrong, try Margaux at the Kowloon Shangri-La. Amazing, view, food and wine list in an intimate space. Habibi is great on - is it Wellington? Middle Eastern food. Lively atmosphere, yet good for small group or couple. Had a farewell for a friend at Minar, Indian food, good for a group (not as busy as it should be, IMHO). few thoughts... have fun!

    update

i decided to make 2 bday for her, one on sunday with a bunch of friends to causeway bay.

And on Monday it will be just the two of us. I saw a sugguestion on Shangri-la Hotel's Margaux, what is the price range?
And what about the review on napa? I was thinking isn't the view from the 21st floor better then the Mezzanine Level?
Any other good places out there?

And about the bday cake any other places out there beside cova?

    Flowers suggustions?

    thanks
