    Recycling of phone numbers

    Does anybody know what the standard period is for (mobile) phone numbers to be reassigned?
    Background: I bought a prepaid card for some classifieds listings and have been receiving some 'suggestive' messages - suspect that these were intended for the previous holder of the number.
