    Thats for fluorescent bulbs- tubular office lighting, basically. Halogens are those small, annoying downlights so frequently found in trendy restaurants. Very energy inefficient and very hot.

    I've not heard of halogens being recycled, or even that they were particularly recycleable.

    I'm glad I'm not the only person who dislikes them.

    But the link I provided has email contacts for the OP to try to find out whether halogen bulbs are/can be recycled.

    Halogens, yeah, they suck. Hot so they are uncomfortable to sit under and you need more AC to cool the room. Spots, so they make people who sit under them look like part of an interrogation.

    Typically used by interior designers who value style over function because they look nice in magazine spreads and property brochures.

    Hey, that site was great. I've just discovered that McD's does battery collection in my area. I would never have guessed that.
