Going to Zanzibar for Holidays.

Hi,
I'm going to Zanzibar (off the coast of Tanzania), this coming weekend for 10 days. My parents are there, so I'll be staying with them.
Can anyone suggest something fun to do there! I plan to visit Serengeti Wildlife Park in Tanzania, but dont know the cost and also the flight from Z'bar to Serengeti. Any suggestions ??

hmm, apart from that don't know too much about zanzibar, but def a place I would like to go.

Dinner at Emerson's rooftop
Swimming with Dolphins
Dhow trip for lunch on one of the Islands
Deep sea fishing in the Pemba channel
Shopping in Stone Town
Go to Nungwi for the best beach and watch dhow building
Visit the historic fort and other buildings of significant historic interest and buy some Tanzanite

That should be plenty in conjunction with a trip to the Serengeti.

Remember your injections and malaria tablets.

Hey... Thanks a lot guys. Just came back, so could'nt reply earlier.
The trip was amazing. I went to Nungwi beaches, Prison Island.. which was fantabulous... Old Fort...Fordhani Park for bar b que seafood, but not that great. Kempinsky resort and another resort. Stone town shopping, Mercury's for Drinks (after Freddy Mercury from Queen who was born there).
Best was, went to Tanzania for Safari. Missed Serengeti, but did go to Lake Manyara National Park and Ngorongoro Crater National Park, which was the most beautiful natural place I've seen. I recommend Leopard Safari tours for everyone who goes there and also ZanAir for flights. Also went to Aldupai Gorge (Cradle of mankind).

Amazing experience. Will go again in another 2-3 years...will go to Serengeti.

Oh btw... saw Mount Kilimanjaro from the flight... the peak coming out from a bed of clouds. Beat that!!
