Does anyone's hair get all sticky after washing their hair with Hong Kong water?

Does anyone's hair get all sticky after washing their hair with Hong Kong water? I washed my hair three times today, and it's still all sticky and nasty. And it didn't gradually get sticky, it got sticky the moment I blow-dried it. I think I'm not used to the water here.

Anyone had this problem when they first arrived? What did you do to solve this problem?

    It's probably the humidity

it may actually be the shampoo. years ago i bought V-05 shampoo here and it did terrible things to my hair. i then discovered that it was "specially formulated for asian hair"....the minute i bought different shampoo, it was fine.

    Me too...

Try washing with some distilled water and your current shampoo and see if it helps, this may rule out the tap water as the cause!

get different shampoo. Some of the ones here are not built for western hair and leave a lot of residue on your hair to give you that "asian shine". Yeah, results in our hair as... sticky gunk.

I'm tempted to make a comment but then I'll get yet another PM telling me my post has been deleted.

I'm actually Asian and I'm using Pantene. I've been using Pantene in Canada for years. Not sure if the Pantene is the same here but my hair is super sticky and oily looking the second I dried it. It was ok for a few days but now no matter how many times I wash it, it's still all sticky immediately.

What shampoo did you switch to?

The only time this happened to me was in a hotel when I mistook the body lotion for the conditioner ..... sure this is not the case here but worth perhaps a quick check! I've never had other problems here and I am completely unselective in my shampoo and conditioner - mainly use whatever is provided in hotels/gyms/club house gyms etc, have not actually purchased any for years!
