Have you had a GREAT helper?

We just relocated to HK from the US and have been told to get personal recommendations from friends regarding finding a full-time domestic helper. Problem is we have yet to make friends since we have been here a week and we need a helper ASAP as we are starting work, have a three year old son, and kid #2 due in October. If anyone out there has had a great helper that is looking for a new family, please PM us. We would prefer to meet the sponsoring family and helper in person to get a sense of personality fit, references, and expectations. Also, we will gladly receive advice on the amah search from those that have done it recently.

My helper has been with us for 3+ years and she is fantastic.

She is very smart and has a lot of common sense. She is great with our kids who were 3 and 4 when she came to us. It used to take us hours to put them to sleep. Within a week, she had them used to getting one story and then falling asleep by themselves. Now it takes less than 10 minutes and when we have company, we can just tell them to go to bed on their own.

She has never broken an appliance, shrunken an item of clothing, or subjected us to her family drama.

She is computer literate and used to do all the weekly grocery and wine shopping online and have it delivered to the house. I am even able to give her research projects to find vendors and prices for things (e.g. when arranging a birthday party for my daughter, she found the bakery and the bouncy castle).

We moved her to the Philippines with us when we left HK and now she wants to go back. If you want to arrange an interview, we can do one via webcam.
