Bel air - hot water problem and wireless connection?

We just moved into bel air on the peak. We love the place except that it takes FOREVER to get hot water running! Towngas and management said it is due to bad design of the building and it should take 3-4 mins, but for us, it's been more like 5-10+ mins. And the shower water pressure is terrible, too. I don't know how we will survive the winter! (Terribly ironic considering how nice and expensive the apt is...) Does anyone have an idea to fix/improve the problem?

I am also having problem with wirelss connection. I have a pretty powerful router but for some reason, I have a really bad signal in bedrooms. (The main point is in living room) I even bought a new supposedly best router and it's slightly better but not much. Signal is very unstable. I am using Broadband at Bel Air service, and they tell me there's nothing wrong with the fixed line and they cannot tell me what the problem is. Can anyone advise? Thank you so much!

If the hot water problem is due to low water pressure, it is possible to install a water pump at the water meter to increase the pressure. BUt you need permission to do this. I think it is normally granted easily in HK by the management company.

For wireless connection you need to pinpoint where your point of failure is. Have you tried connecting your laptop directly to the wall? If you do and the connection is stable, then there is nothing wrong with the internet service, and it could be the thick walls. Then you should try connecting via wireless in the living room. If the connection is stable there, then it is definitely the walls and you need to get a second bridge wireless router. This means you buy another wireless router which can connect to the first one wirelessly to extend the signal. But you need to make sure the router you buy has the functionality as not all of them do.
