Is there a plant market in HK where i can buy the kind of plants available at Tree/ G.O.D (like Palm trees, Banana Leaf plants) but not for rip-off prices? 1000 HKD for a plant alone seems way too steep for a bunch of leaves, so if anyone can point me in the right and cheaper direction it would be much appreciated. thanks!

Wanchai too has some plants shop.....u can pay a visit there....
think its near MTR exit A3.......

yea agree with carang, Mong Kok flower market is great, love every minute I spent there.
Take mtr to prince edward station and find the exit to flower market (I don't remember the exit)

many will deliver, either for a price or you can get a taxi....if you spend $X at one shop, then perhaps you can ask for free delivery.

At the MK flower market, if they do not have delivery services, you can purchase plants and ask the shops to assist you in hiring a van or otherwise call the van yourself. Much cheaper (and easier) than a taxi generally, though you may have a short wait.

this may sound ignorant but what do u mean by "the van"? would they have the van number at shops there or do i need to do my research (aka here!) before i go?

Do you not know of the for-hire van services? They are an affordable method of getting things moved around Hong Kong.
