Do chinese believe its bad travelling during Mid-Autumn Festival?

    Do chinese believe its bad travelling during Mid-Autumn Festival?

    Hi,

    I remember once that there are some dates in the chinese calendar surround public holidays that chinese believe are bad times to be travelling.

    Just wondering with the Mid Autumn Festival this weekend, is it badluck to be travelling during this period? (was considering taking the friday off to make it a 4 days weekend and going for a short trip)...

    i don't think so, just like christmas and thanks giving, many people travel to see their families during these times, same mid autumn fest

    It is not about luck. Some popular Chinese cities just get very crowded during some public holidays.

    its probably more expensive... the hk people i know take every holiday opportunity to go to taiwan, japan, korea, thailand etc etc.
