tomorrow and while the lantern lit up, enjoy some mooncakes too!!
It's tonight that they go to the Parks and beach is it not? On the eve?
I also thought it was on the eve!
um..When I was a child, I go to the parks in the neighbourhood to lit up(Sometimes accidentally burnt up) lanterns / candles on all three nights, the eve, Mid-autumn festival and the evening after the festival.
The number of people there would be in that order : Mid-autumn festival > festival eve > the evening after the festival
Some crazy children would melt 10 packs of candles in fire and splash water on it. Then the blaze would be 2-storey high. Don't worry, it's not allowed nowadays. If you see one, stay away from them.
the full moon is TONIGHT. the holiday is tomorrow so that people car recover from being awake all night looking at the moon and messing up the beaches.
According to the Chinese Lunar Calendar, 15th is on this Saturday, thus, MidAutumn Festival is on Saturday. Traditionally, we got a public holiday a day after the MA Fest, but it is a Sunday this year, the Government decides to have the PH fall on the Saturday instead of Monday, Sucks....
The festival in Victoria Park started yesterday and runs to the 4th: Urban Mid-Autumn Lantern Carnival
