Also be aware that these names will be transcribed in Mandarin on the mainland, even if they are Cantonese from Guangdong. So family name will be "Wu" instead of "Ng" for example.

if you don't have much sucess ( considering this is a expat site), try hong kong local forum and upload the photographs there, a lot of locals have direct links to their ancestry home in guangdong

you have to ask a friend to type chinese or copy paste this

    請幫我, 我係新西蘭華橋,請幫我搵我鄉村。 。多謝

    我知道有個舊街,係廣東 可能廣州 但係我唔知邊度

( please help me find my village, thanks, i know there is an old street, in guangdong, maybe guangzhou, anyone know where this is)

That must be it. It's not too far out of Guangzhou.

i double check with the info

can up with various places, eg, 舊街/旧街 廣東 or 廣州, these actually a few places matches this, eg, one in guangzhou, one in wenzhou and foshan.

i believe old street is quite a popular name for a road in china

It may be a long shot but why don't you go to the Nga Tsin Wai Village in Kowloon City to ask the village head there. He may be able to help you.
This is the NG ancesteral village in HK and where the NG clans have been living for the past few hundred years.
