    Suggested cruise?

We have hired a junk boat which belongs to my husband's company.

We will start to sail from the public pier in central from 10am and finish at 6pm, but have 3 hours of sail time. We'd like to finish off in Victoria harbour just as the sunsets.

As we are limited to 3 hours of sail time, does anyone have any suggestions as to where to sail? We'd like to stop around lunch time to have a long lunch some where. I was keen to sailing around the Sai Kung area, but not sure if we have enough time as we are leaving from Central. I guess we'd probably have to stick around Lamma, Cheung Chau or Lantau etc. Does anyone know of any special places that we should go to?

    Thanks.

3 hours in total or 3 hours out then 3 hours back?

We went on a junk trip last weekend, left from Causeway Bay at 10am. Think the beach we went to was Little Millionaire's and it took us about 2 hours to get there, or maybe just under. The journey there was rough!! And a few people got sea sick, but once there it was nice and sheltered. You could swim to the beach.

On the way back I got a great photo of the sunset over HK Island.

We have 3 hours of sailing time, but have the junk from 10am-6pm.

Does Little Millionaire's have any good restaurants? Thank you for the suggestion.

No, it was isolated so you'd need to take food (not 100% sure I have the name right!). But if you only have 3 hours then I don't think you could get there and back in that time.

The only other place I've been was a small island less than 1.5hours sail south of Stanley (so no good if you can only sail from Central), but that had a fantastic seafood restaurant.

Maybe someone with more junk trip experience will come along with some suggestions!

Wow how could I experience riding on a junk?
I'm visiting HK in Feb-April and Nov 2010.

That would be Po Toi island. It shouldn't take that long from Stanley though.

Millionaires Beach may be on Double Haven in the northeast NT? That's a long way out.

Yes that was it - maybe it was less than that, we stopped to swim etc before lunch, so maybe I lost track of how much time we were moving.

It was Little Millionaire's Beach we went to? (or that's what I was told it was called, maybe my friend was wrong).
