    Scam or not

Apparently, my friend won a big prize from this:

    http://www.royals.hk/eng/default.html

    See 1st heading under notice.

Do you all think it's a scam or not? I'm personally hearing alarm bells.

The address looks suspicious. There is no South Hong Kong unless they mean Southern District. The street name is very Mainland China. Could not find this building on either Centamap or Landsearch.

With these expensive prizes, you'd think they might have an address that can be found on a map.

    Verdict: Bogus.

The building doesn't exist on YP either. Agree with shakermaker - scam

Very odd... it may just be an auto-translate though, which always use Mandarin pinyin.

Sh1te web site, no such building, no such address, no such company turns up on Google but similar named companies in other countries do. The telephone numbers look like the number that come up on ID when you get a f' cold sales call.

Wouldn't trust it as far as I could spit it.

The address is just made to look like it is in HK.

That Post code may be 'Shenyang 024 110000'

They've given a mainland postcode but a HK address, so I guess it is scammy. I wonder why the domain name registrar would accept that.

I don't think any companies in HK are allowed to do lotteries sale except Hong Kong Jockey Club.
HK is very conservative and they don't offer licenses to any companies to operate anything with gambling contents.

So, if you see anything like that in future related to Hong Kong, just ignore it.
If it's a offshore lottery, I don't think you should waste any time upon it.
