    Trip to Shenzen

Okay, 1 British Citizen, full membership, 1 British/Australian Dual Nationality.

Looking into a day trip, how much is the visa going to be and how difficult are they to get - and is it worth going there?

apologies if this is posted up somewhere else, couldnt find it...

Haha! Interesting... Oh yes, I forgot that the price varies depending on which country you are from. Starting from $150.

We only really want to exit and re-enter to validate a working-holiday visa, are there any other options besides macau?

You can just go to the immigration department and wait in the line there.

I know some other students who had to get their student visas validated like that.

If you're going to limit your trip (and future trips) to Shenzhen then that is the way to go. Do note that UK/US passport holders will not be eligible for a visa at the border. Instead you will have to apply at China Travel Service, where they issue full China visas (i.e. valid for travel throughout China, as opposed to Shenzhen only). Get yourself a multiple entry visa so you can,..ahem..get your money's worth.
