police biker pulled me over on motorbike

    hi

    I am on a p plate on my m/bike..

anyways the chain/ lock slipped off the rack a little and was obscuring a digit of my number plate

The police bike man was ok - sort of friendly ish?

but then I am not clear what he said - i was a bit nervous and yesterday was xmas.....

he noticed my P plate and I think he may of said be-careful - you can get an extention - or he might have said thats an extention?

he then asked where I was going ( work unfortunately )

then heard there was a broken down car on his radio so he shot off

he didnt give me a ticket ..

    am I in the clear?

    thanks!

Were you going above 70kph or close? In HK, your P licence is speed restricted I think.... he probably just gave you a warning for something that he technically could've nicked you on. But yea if he didn't issue you a ticket right there or instruct you that he will be charging you with an offence (things like Careless Driving or Dangerous Driving, they will actually need to go back to the station to write a report for recommendation of charges and then the prosecuting division may mail you a letter after to make an appearence before a magistrate).

Good to see another biker on the road, wave at me if you see a red Honda VFR 800 =)

If the police man did not take any details of your ID or even look at it then you are totally safe, he just gave u a verbal warning.

    i was doing 55 in a 50 zone -

what are the chances of being nicked for that ? :leghump

its real hard to keep so slow really (50) .. . an it keeps ya busy looking in the rear view mirrors... - cos every one else seems to be doing just under 60...

    VFR800 ? nice - I think I have seen ya...

wave when u pass a grey hornet... ( no furry dice )

he he, I have been pulled over by the police too many times and have usually got away with a verbal warning. The times I got a ticket it have always been issued at location. (except from the speeding tickets from the automatic cameras...)
