    Not working electrical items: Recycle

Where can I send all the electrical items which are no longer working to be recycled?
Is there any such arrangement here
    Thanks

Believe it or not, the easiest thing to do is sort them out and put them to your estate garbage facility. The workers there will gather them and sell them to "scavengers" for dimes and nickels. This is part of their un-official subsidies to their relatively low remuneration.

If those electronics are in working condition there is another organization which you can call.

Welcome to the Crossroads Foundation — Crossroads Global Distribution

For those interested in this topic, the Environmental Protection Department has a public consultation out on requiring producers to have a "take back and recycle" scheme for electrical and electronic devices. The consultation is open for public comments until 30 April 2010.

    Details here: WEEE

Caritas are also in this business. Their drop off point in Caine Rd is closed so they will come and pick it up.
