I am volunteering for UNICEF tomorrow. The work is to sell red packets to help raise funds for the children in China. I know they have a few more events organised for the coming weekends / Sundays.

Professor Paws (part of animal Asia) is always looking for volunteers. You go into local schools and teach groups of children (in English) about responisble pet ownership and how to approach and treat animals.

You have someone who comes with a dog (usually 4 dogs come along to each session) and 4 group leaders and you are there for about an hour. Its fun and you meet a lot of nice local chinese volunteers etc.

There is also Changing Young Lives....and you can do mentoring to local teenage children.
