please help - Christmas Schedule

hi,
i have friends visiting dec 25 to dec 27 and i was wondering if the shops, department stores and such will be closed because of the holidays? in the US everything opens form dec 26 onwards, but i wasnt sure about hk.

Most shops are open. Some foreign shops like Marks and Spencer may be closed on Dec 25, others will close early in the evenings. In HK, most shops will close only during the first 3 days of Chinese New Year.
