Hey! I just have a Kodak Easyshare (point and shoot) camera but I have always been interested in learning more about taking pictures and upgrading to a better camera but I'm clueless! Where should I start?
This is a good place to start:
The Hong Kong Photography Club

I have a pretty limited budget (hence the cheapo camera) but I guess my main interests are people and objects. I think I would only buy a better camera if I knew what to do with it!
Hi
Re starting an old thread.
Am thinking about doing the photography classes by Craig Norris:

Has anyone here taken his classes before?
Craig's workshops will give you a good overview of the theory and practice of the basics. The studio session on the last day is also a good introduction to controlling light. He is also currently trying to develop more advances workshops for serious armatures and semi-pros.
we have a few members here in geoexpat photography group - you can join in
Hong Kong GeoExpat - Photography
BTW here's a few of my gallery, just a hobbyist
