Hi I bought a pair of boots that need to be taken in at the calf, can anyone recommend a good shoe repair shop in HK that does that.. thanks.

I love girls in those boots There's a place in the Fleet Arcade (to the west of the Convention Center) that does custom shoes...actually, I don't remember if it was there the last time I went. Nevermind then My other recommendation would be to try to get that done up in Shenzhen, would probly save you a few bob.

Thanks Jay, yes I love boots too! So are you saying I should go to a shop that does custom-made shoes instead of a regular shoe repair shop right? How much should I expect to pay would you know? Not thinking about Shenzhen as too far.. and not sure about the workmanship..
have u tried the old guys by stree in wc, central, shen shui po maybe u will have better chance.
Would appreciate any help with recommendations for shoe repair places around central (landmark) or sheung wan. I need to fix my heels and get a shoeshine for those front part on pointy leather shoes that get worn so easily.
Where are those old guys located in central? I've seen one in Fortress Hill.
Thanks!
I have my shoes (pumps and boots) fixed/done at the "The Groom" shops (with yellow and black color-motif on their logo) located in a few MTR station. There's one each in TST, Central and Kwun Tong.
In Central, isn't there a guy in LKF, just below Haagen Das. Also, another guy next to The Center on Queen's Rd. There's also a groom in Wing on Basement
Basic routine repairs go to the chain cobblers in the lower level of the Central MTR. Ask the MTR staff or the shops therein for directions.
Specialist work, such as your high boots, there is a company, KOW HOO, on 3/F (or maybe 2/F?) of Prince's Building. He only deals in hand-made shoes. Expensive, but depends how much you value them.
Thanks for the helpful info!
