    Talking Hair extensions?

Hey guys! I'm Karen, and I'm new here! I've been skimming these forums and this sounds like a nice, friendly place I'm gonna frequently.

Anyway, I've been thinking of getting hair extensions, not a full head, but I want a few, colourful strands just to spice it up. I've never done this before, so does anyone have any recommendations? I really want it to be done properly, cos I mean, I don't want it falling out and stuff after like a week!

    Thnx in advance!

Hi Karen, welcome to Geoexpat Colorful strands sounds like fun. if you were in the US, all the black girls would give you dirty looks if you said you wanted extensions...lol

there's a lot of good places in town. rever is good...there's one in the holiday inn golden mile i believe. my parents often go there. probly expensive, but hey, you want to get them done right, right? i believe they offer extensions, but if they don't, they might be able to recommend someone who does. Dial 18501 for a phone number or use the PCCW search to your right. Nice touch, KIA!

ohh i know exactly what you're talking about! I've got a friend who had both extensions and cornrows at the same time (yes, the whole thing looked really complicated). i think that style looks good on ppl who have a lot or long hair (i.e. not me), would love to see your cornrows too should you decide to get them!

My first suggestion would be to ask the African ladies at Chung King....lol...a lot of the braiding places in New York are owned by Africans. Yep, they're called cornrows...cuz they somewhat resemble rows of corn....
