Having been born in US and living outside (HK for 10yrs), US is least racist, and honestly HK most racist.
Hong Kong Chinese are not really into political correctness and may use rather impolite (but sometimes endearing) terms for just about anyone including family, friends and co-workers. Not only foreigners.
I personally prefer this over North American hypocrisy.
no racism in Hongkong! ha hahaaaa.ask me, i should know, i am an Indian.what else would you call it when people wouldnt get into the same lift as you, will deliberately pull the door shut even if they see you right behind near building entrances, never sit next to you in trains or buses, act like you spat at them if God forbid you touch them by mistake, pull their children away when we or our kids smile at them.....Oh! i could go on.... thanks to such kind treatment, now i never bother to wait for them in lifts, never offer my seat to them in trains or buses, never smile at them or their kids.
Sorry, I hate to burst your bubble, but every one of those things has happened to me at one point or another and I am a white, 30-something guy-in-a-suit. You are not special - it happens to white people also. It is not racism, it is ignorance or rudeness. Not saying racism doesn't exist in some form in HK, but not as you describe it.
So, stand up straight, push that chip off your shoulder and enjoy Hong Kong.

that's nothing compared to racism in UK, imagine, , the ethnic minorities experience lit fireworks put through your letterbox, getting smash your windows, targeted break-ins, even mugging and racist violence and racist murders, there are even violent neo-nazi/fascist and ultra right political parties who may target you as they judge you by the colour of skin
you have to look in the headlines of the skynews/bbc and the sun to see how bad it can be in UK especially if you live in inner parts of UK.

On that note .. I think the OP's question has been answered.
Feel free to start another thread about Racism in ........ if you do need to debate this ad nauseum (just incase you need to know how I feel about this topic).
