An expat friend recommends a place down Spring Garden Lane in Wan Chai - has the usual red and white spinning barber poles outside and costs 58 HKD I think for wash, cut, dry and head massage. Will be trying it soon myself. Last time I used the one tucked away behind Starbucks in Central (just off Wellington St). Do a quick search on the forum here for 'barber' - I think KIA recommended it originally. Was a fair bit more tho - around the 200 or 250 mark IIRC.

Taliana (spelling?) on 1/F of Hutchison House, Admiralty.

Hutchison House is opposite ICAC building, and adjacent to Bank of America Tower.

A great straight-forward blokes haircut, costs about $140

There are lots of local barbers around - if you are happy explaining what you want in sign language then just look for the rotating pole around where you live. My local barber on Caine Road does a good job for HK$73 (as previously discussed in a thread here: http://www.geoexpat.com/forum/post30410-22.html )

Yep, go with The Barber Shop (address through KnowItAll's link above)

I've been going there for years. Friendly, free coffee, old-fashioned chairs, good music (well, for cutting hair at least - I wouldn't be playing it at home!)

Ask for Samantha - she's the best. She might be back from holiday by now.

In TST go to the Shanghainese place, 1/F Ocean View Court.
$80 for a Hair cut, Shave, Shampoo, Head Massage.

    The cuts are great .
